Flashing monitor

I've notice in the past few days that when i turn my computer on, the screen seems to flash. It's similar to what you see when you see a computer screen on television. It stops after awhile. This has not happened before. Could anyone give me some information on what this is, or how to fix it? Thanks.
 
This may me a magnetic build up in your monitor that occurs sometimes. Go through the settings in your monitor and find DEGAUSS. Use this function to demagnitize your monitor. Kope this helps.
