hi there

i have bought a flash stick with 128mb which should run via plug and play. it does on one pc running xp prof. bt on the other pc running xp home, i am asked for a driver, but there are no drivers available because it shoul work with plug and play. any idea how i could solve the problem?
thank you in advance

Try this if you are getting error code 28, it worked for me.

Subject: Problems With USB Card Readers

The solution to this problem involves using the registry editor (regedit)
with which you should be comfortable or you can cause damage to your system.

While running regedit, conduct a search for the string "LowerFilters". Under
the heading 'Disk Drives" (class "DiskDrive") you will likely find a key
with the name "LowerFilters" with either a null entry or a binary entry.
Click on this value, and either delete the entry or rename the key to
";LowerFilters" to preserve the entry to allow it to be restored at a later
point in time.

You will have to repeat the procedure to correct additional registry entries
if you have more than one user configured for access on your computer
(multiple user configurations).

Hope it works,
Martyn

Do you have SP1 on the Home?
