flash path adapters

Hi,
I have a camera that uses a 3.5 floppy, can I use a 3.5 " flash path adapter in this camera instead of
a regular floppy? Would appreciate your help. Thanks

Used to have an early Sony Mavica with a floppy and also had a flash path
adapter to read a memory card from another camera. Certainly did not work in
the Sony.
