I probably did something but I can't seem to get Macromedia Flash Player to
install winxphome sp1 512MB ram P4 any ideas, thank you, (e-mail address removed)

Hi :-)

Try the following and see if it helps:

Remove Flash from AddRemove programs including all registry entries for
it. Reboot, then go to Macromedia's site. Since it is Flash based you should
get the dialog to install Flash.
http://www.macromedia.com/support/flash/ts/documents/playerfaq.htm

However, if you are getting error messages when you click the link, then
your host file, blocked sites under restricted area in IE, or other security
apps that you might be using that can block sites is interfering. Check
your Antivirus, and your Zone Alarm if you have it.

If you have any type of Toolbar or 3rd Party program with an ad blocker,
disable it or uninstall it. Set your security to Medium if you have not
already done so.

Is the Flash ActiveX control enabled in IE Manage Add-ons window?

It's possible that Kill-bit is set to Flash ActiveX control. If so remove
the Kill-bit:
http://windowsxp.mvps.org/noflash.htm

Simply delete the {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11CF-96B8-444553540000} sub-key under
ActiveX Compatibility key.

If …. > The add-on manager does not list Flash control
Even if you click on Show: Add-ons that have been used by Internet
Explorer?
(An odd way of saying "Show: All"?)
Hint: Look under Name for: Shockwave Flash Object

Flash & Shockwave not working

A few of things could contribute to the problem. Have you checked your
firewall to see if the ad-blocker or Flash blocker is set to on or block?
Also, there are several Pop-up blockers that will block Flash unless you
turn it off. I had POP-UP Blocker and it would not open Flash at all, and
it took me a while to figure out what was doing it When I unchecked the
Kill Flash it stopped. Some Flash has pop-ups and the blockers will see
them as ads or and kill it any way.

Also, if you have SpywareBlaster installed, be sure you have Kill Flash
unchecked - Open SpywareBlaster - Tools - Click on Flash Killer then uncheck
"Switch off Flash Player" or in v3.1 Disable and block Macromedia Flash (4X
5X & 6X) in Internet Explorer.

If these steps do not resolve your problem, or you need help with the above,
please post back to this thread with the details and any error messages.

Hope this helps
