Hi all

received fantastic advice on here a few weeks ago re: getting rid of some av software, so hoping someone can recommend a product for me for the following. I have a 5 year old laptop running windows 98 and another running windows Xp i need on a regular basis to transfer word docs and jpgs (not big files at all) from the first to the second. A friend has said to buy some flash memory but said I might have problems finding a product that will work with W98os. Is this the case - can you guys suggest anything? Many thanks in advance.

I think you get a driver disc for running a USB stick on 98. you dont however need in in xp. :thumb:

Easy to use! remember to remove via the "safely remove feature" before unpluging

hi - yes have usb ports on both - what does the wink mean? Have been reading the reviews on ebuyer, someone running w98 complaining... is there something i can buy that anone knows of that will work with both OS?

Q. I have an older computer-where can I find a driver to download so I can use a USB flash drive?

A. Most USB flash drives use mass storage class drivers. These are included in Windows 2000 and Windows XP. In order to operate under Windows 98 SE, a USB flash drive typically requires a driver that you can obtain from the manufacturer of the USB flash drive, through their customer service support number or Web site.

Does that help?

I got one a while ago and it had a driver disk for Win98. :)

Have a look on the site and read the reviews for each drive, I only use Ebuyer there are other sites around so just browse, the;) is to say that the product is what you require:)

Lorraine,

This one has the driver disk for Windows 98. :thumb:

It is a good reliable make and has all you need to get going.

it's getting clearer now... after reading that link to Q&A .... provided i can download a driver for the product for w98 I should be OK I'll have a look on the site for something. Wish I could get all my problems solved this quickly! Thanks again. Lorraine

No problem,

If for one reason or another you dont get the driver disk (But you should) You can download it from the link below. (The manufactures website.)

http://www.corsairmemory.com/corsair/flash_memory.html (On the left hand side)

(It also says that the box includes the driver disk on that site, so you should not need to download anything.)
