Does anyone know what I must do to successfully insert a
flash file into a power point presentation? Thanks for
any help you can provide.

1. Add the "Control Toolbox" Toolbar to your Presentation. (View
Toolbars > Control Toolbox)

2. Choose the "More Controls" Icon (looks like a Hammer & Wrench
crossed), it should be the last button on the toolbar.

3. It will bring up a list of options. Scroll down to the
"Shockwave Flash Object" option (about 80% of the way down the list) and
select it. (if you don't have this option, you need to download it)

4. It will convert your mouse pointer into a 'cross-hair'. Drag
the cross hair out like a box on the page. It will make a box with an "X"
in the middle of it.

5. Select the box and right click on it. It will bring up a menu
of programming options.

6. There are two tabs in this list; the "Alphabetic" tab should
be in front. If it's not, select it, so you can choose from the list of
options on that tab.

7. The first row on the "Alphabetic" tab is '(Custom)', either
double-click in the (Custom) box, or single click in the box and then click
on the small icon with the ellipses that will appear to the right. This
will bring up your "Property Pages" dialogue box.

8. The first box in the Property Page is the "Movie URL"; you
must type or paste the full, exact path to the SWF file that you want to
embed in this box. (It may be a good idea to have the paths of all your SWF
files pasted somewhere in text format so you can 'simply copy & paste' them
into this box.)

9. You want the following options selected: 'Play', 'Embed Movie
', and 'Show Menu'.

10. Click 'Apply' and 'Okay'

11. Now right click on the box with the X in it again. And select
'Format Control' from the bottom of the pop-up menu.and apply dimensions

12. save file and run in slideshow mode, it should work
