Flash Drive

just started getting really interested in digital photography and I would like to know if images from the camera can be down loaded directly from camera to a flash drive
 
This would be nice indeed but it cannot be done directly, at least with the
cameras we now have.

Could you imagine, a camera with a host USB port. The storage capabilities
would be endless.(Well, huge anyway)

Flash drives may well replace Floppies, and Zips. Maybe we can get them to
replace all portable storage (CF, SD, MMC, MS, MS-Pro) and have one standard
for storage again. Like in the good ol' days with the 5-1/4" floppies.

And then get all PDA's to accept USB flash drives as well. We would be in
near Utopia.
