I have a 256mb MP3 player (flash drive) I use Windows Explorer to load files
(songs) by dragging and dropping.
Just recently after deleting all files, the device reads '0 files'.
"My Computer" shows 'removable device' contains 0 files
but the capacity graphic shows 'no free space'.
When I try to add files to device I receive message saying 'disc is full'
If I run 'disc cleanup' it responds no files, If I run disc defrag. it shows
full capacity (contiguous files).
Any idea what has happened ??

Probably a defective player. Some players come
with a partitioning/formatting tool - see if one of
them will fix the problem.

Thank You Pegasus, It did have a formatting option but when faced w/ option
of deleting all files I was hesitant (did not want to delete o/s files) ..
spoke w/ Creative and they confirmed what you suggested. Once again thank you
