Hi all,
I am still using Explorer 6. I have some flash animations on my website,
which used to show fine. Recently parts of the animation (such as some text)
have stopped showing. They do however show fine in Firefox, and when I play
the animation straight from my file.

Does anyone know of any recent updates that may have stopped my animations
from showing properly?

Can anyone help me get my animations back please?!

Thanks

Hi Lasci,
First do you have Third Party Firewall installed like but n't limited to (
ZA, Mcafee, Norton.etc.. and also Anti-Spyware!) you can configure the Option
on these firewalll to allow Animated Images to Dispaly on your Browser.
Try one option at a time from the below and Reboot your machine and see if
it will solve the Problem:
1 => Go to the IE Properties and on Advanced Tab
scroll down to the Header Option;
Multimedia:
[ √ ] Play Animation in web pages be sure this Square Box is
selected.
2 => Open Control Panel >> Accessibility >> Dispaly and make sure the Use
High Contrast is Unchecked.
3 => If still no joy and assuming you have XP SP2 try this in the RUN
Command type the following:
Iexplore /rereg click OK or Hit Enter on your Keyboard.
HTH.
Please let us know.

Hi,

Thanks for your suggestions.

We do have a firewall on our network, but this has not changed recently so
cannot be the cause of the problems.

I ran through all your other suggestions and they were already correct on my
machine.

However I have tested my animations and they now work again! How odd. Tested
on another machine (which I previously used to test the animations, and they
did not work) and they also worked.

I think Microsoft are playing games with me!!!

Anyway they are back up and running now, not sure how but they are!

Thanks again to nass for responding so quickly and helpfully.
