Flash and PowerPoint?

Hello,
I have been using PPT mainly for creating financial
presentations. However, I came across here and there that
Flash and PPT are being using together. Is Flash being
embedded into PPT or PPT into Flash?

Someone please explain or direct me to a website that
explain how the 2 programs are being used together. Thank
you very much.
