I am very new to Outlook and was wondering if someone could help me. Whenever
I set a flag to an email....say to reply by 3pm Monday, is there anyway to set
Outlook so that it adds a reminder to my task list or to my calendar? Thanks
in advance!

James

Depending on the folder the message in question is in, you may be able to
get a reminder from the flag itself, therefore eliminating the need to have
a separate task or appointment item. What version of Outlook are you using
and what folder is the message in?

I am using Outlook 2000....the mail is coming in to the main inbox, but I have
rules to move them to other folders, such as From Family, From Friends...etc.
I hope that helps....any ideas?

By default, reminders only fire on items that are located in the original
Inbox, Calendar, Contacts and Tasks folders in the default mail store (the
set of folders where your mail is delivered). They don't fire from any
other folder in the default mail store, nor will they fire from any folder
in a secondary storage file. However, there are a couple of 3rd party
add-ins available at http://www.slovaktech.com that add reminder
functionality to other folders.
