Hi,
Microsoft is bombing me!
Therefore I should have Swen worm.
Today I have downloaded FixSwen.exe from Symantec site.
It ran for 3-4 minutes but it didn't find anything.
In that bombing is there another worm?
Why?
Thanks

bye Fogar

Learn to read you dumbass. There are numerous posts as well as
information on the web that will (or should) make it clear to you as
to why you are receiving infected email.

Hi,

No they're not... The Swen worm is [mail] bombing you... NOT Microsoft!
Therefore I should have Swen worm.

The fact that you're a receiving a ton of e-mail messages does not mean
you infected... Just popular.

Two possibilities... One you not infected and are wasting you time
chasing ghosts. Two the Symantec tools doesn't work.

If you've scanned your system with a quality up to date anti-virus
product and come up clean it a good bet you're not infected.

Your welcome. HTH.

no, no, no!

those emails are the swen worm trying to get in, not the swen worm
already in trying to get out...

Fogar pounced upon this pigeonhole and pronounced:

In a lighter tone, you do not have the worm. Your infected friends have
the worm and it is sending you emails trying to *get* you infected.

As long as you don't execute the attachments, you should be safe. [1] Just
delete the emails.

I haven't executed the attachments but I have deleted them manually.
Will have some problems?

No, it is the swen worm doing that.
Therefore I should have Swen worm.

That's not how it works.

Nothing to find.

Could be some of the previous Gibe worms are still active.
But that is not the cause of the incoming e-mails you are
being inundated with - you are suffering from other peoples
stupidity (or misfortune, depending on your point of view).

Nothing that you do to your computer will make others any
smarter, and that is what is required to stop this sort of thing
from happening.
