Fixing paper jam on microlaser pro 300 (UK)

Has anyone managed to sort out a paper jam on one of the above printers? The
paper doesn't seem to get very far because it isn't concertinaed at all when
I open the tray. This thread makes me think I might have to bin the printer:

It it's the TI microlaser, there is a clutch that my be bad. If I
remember correctly www.genicom.com sells the parts.
