Fixed Disk Parameter Table or BIOS Error

Hi,
I'm using Windows 2000 on Compaq Armada M700 Notebook.
Suddenly while booting I get the following error after the
first 'COMPAQ' screen.
"Fixed Disk Parameter Table or BIOS Error
System Halted"
Any solutions?

I have the same problem but I have windows XP home edition. would thi
