I am using Excel (part of the Office XP for Students and Teachers package).
I am trying to use percentage formatting for my data cells. The formatting
dialogue box claims that choosing "percentage" has the result of multiplying
the cell value by 100 and then adding a percentage sign. Only the percentage
sign is added, however. The cell value is *not* multiplied by 100. If you
enter 50/100, you get .5%. If you enter .5, you get .5%.
