FIX: Error 1314: A requried privilege is not held by the client while starting iSCSI Initiator Serv

Consider the following scenario. You install Microsoft iSCSI Initiator
2.0 on a Microsoft Windows 2000 Server-based computer. Then, you try to
discover iSCSI targets. Or, you try to stop or to restart the iSCSI
service. In this scenario, you experience the following symptoms:
· The iSCSI service does not start.

When the iSCSI service tries to start, you receive the following error
message:
Could not start the Microsoft iSCSI Initiator Service service on Local
Computer.
Error 1314: A required privilege is not held by the client.

If you detemine that you need to use Method 2 for the resolution, Here
is the registry file you can run to remove the registry keys suggestion
by Microsoft in KB 909585

Paste the text between the asterisk into a text file and name it
iscsi_fix.reg

After you save the file, Run the file on the affected machine and click
OK to import the registry. This will remove the entries that Microsoft
suggests that you remove.

This has solved the problem on all my windows 2000 Servers that I have
installed the iSCSI Initiator Service on.
