I have removed Vista from a dual boot on my notebook, I have booted into the
recovery console on XP and done a FIXBOOT and FIXMBR all is ok now, but I am
unable to delete the folder called Boot and a file called bootmgr, it says
access is denied, how can I delete these?

assuming that fixmbr worked, and the mbr references ntldr/boot.ini, delete
the boot dir and bootmgr file in safe mode. press F8 at setup load (just
incase you don't know how to enter safe mode)

Been awhile since I worked with vista. What attributes do the two have? tried
taking ownership?
