What can I do to fix an socket error 10049, which turn up
evrytime I open the computer???

I think I repeated the webpage's comments. However you should realize that
most newcomers who use P2P programs do not bother with firewalls and
antivirus software and therefore they are very dangerous places to be.

Uh hello Cari. P2P programs aren't the problem and you shouldn't make a
blanket statement like "stop using P2P programs." Many beginners and
newbies
read these NG's and will get the wrong idea. P2P is perfectly safe if your
computer is correctly configured for safety. You would have been much
better
off pointing out to this user that their computer needs to have some added
free software installed to protect them from unsavoury characters. Please
be
more careful. Labelling yourself a MVP does make others look more closely
at
your replies in the belief that you know what you are saying and doing. I
know this isn't always the case but that's why you should be more careful.
