There are alot of Internet Explorer pages that do not fit my sheet (8.5x11)
when I print them out. Why do some fit & others don't. Also, how can I set
them all to fit?
This is a result of the site designer's content choices. The pages that
fit were designed with provisions for visitors with low resolution
displays. Some page coding that allows the page to fill the width of
windows on higher resolution displays makes the material spill off the
right edge of pages printed in portrait orientation.
You can gain some width by printing in landscape orientation, although
this makes the material spill over the bottom on to subsequent pages
earlier. Some select the desired material in the browser window, copy it
to the clipboard and paste the material to another program (like
Wordpad) for printing. Some pages are organized into sections with a
feature called "frames" which allow Internet Explorer to print only the
desired frame (check the "print" dialog for this option).
