Fitting a power or exponential trendline

How do I fit a power or exponential trendline to a data
series in a chart? I only have the options of linear and
polynomial trendlines.

Y = exp( a * X) ===> log(Y) = a * X

I only have the options of linear and polynomial trendlines. <

Excel uses transformations to fit power and exponential, and if the original
data has negative values those options are greyed out.

A workaround is to add a constant to the original data so that all values
are positive.
