first tab page disappearing when switching tabs

I have a tab page on a form - with subforms on it. When I view the first tab
page, the subform shows fine, switch tabs, that subform shows fine. When i
switch back to the first tab, the both of the tabs disappear and the subform
from the first tab remains on the form.

I have verified that I pasted the subform on the tab (not the form) based on
instructions on various posts here.

I have also verified that the subform on the first tab is not on the form by
itself (no left overs - I started from scratch).

Help is appreciated!
 
Sometimes to get rid of weird behavior just Compact and Repair the database,
also, make sure that the tab section is not bigger than the window, it may
just be moving in your screen and the tabs may not be visible because of it,
check that your form has scrollbars to validate this.
