Matt

Everytime I burn songs onto a cd from my computer using
WMP, the first song is silent. The silence lasts as long
as the whole song. I just comletely re-imaged my
computer and am still having the same problems. Please
Help! This is very frusterating.

Thanks

Do you know if the CD is copy protected?

Paul,
I may not have been clear in my problem. All I am doing
is trying to make a cd using MP3's I have on my hard
drive. Everything goes fine and it looks like all the
songs were copied properly until I go to play the cd.
All songs play except the first song which is silent. I
am using the same cd's I've used for a long time so its
not the cd itself. Your help is much appreciated.

Well you've got me!!! 8-)

Is it any MP3 as long as it's the 1st track on the CD, do you know what
encoder was used to make the MP3?

I think my first call would be burning a CD with music that was encoded as
WMA, or even plain WAV... Perhaps a certain MP3 encoder/setting can cause
WMP to trip up when converter to CD-Audio?

Perhaps a re-install of WMP might give it a boot up the rear and sort it
out.

Have you got any other CD-burning software installed, I remember back may be
2 and a half years ago I had trouble with some CDs/tracks simply not
playing, and it was caused by some burner software, but I can remember what!
:-S

Sorry that's not much to go on...
