Hi,

Is it possible to avoid the RIS welcome screen and the user logon? What we want is that by startup the computer always goes to the RIS server without any user interference.

Thanks.

Please note : server running on Windows server 2003 corporate edition.

Yes it is...

You need to modify the RIS Group Policy for Automatic Setup and
customize the ciw files by using the new autoenter metatag

By default, RIS causes a prompt to be displayed on the client
computer, telling the user to press F12. To change this so that RIS
does not cause a prompt to be displayed, in
\\RIS_server_name\REMINST\oschooser\i386, rename Startrom.com to
Startrom.old, and then rename Startrom.n12 to Startrom.com.
