"I just need the Audigy 2 ZS drivers, and my Canon scanner driver (Lide 60).

Anyone know where to get these? Creative has a beta driver for the Beta 1
of Vista. Has anyone used those drivers on Beta 2 yet? "

I would give the current drivers available on Creative a try, but before you
do so, create a restore point first just in case something goes wrong. The
same applies for Canon, you need to contact them about Vista support for
your model scanner.

Tip for installing the Audigy drivers:
Extract the X-fi driver file file using WinZip for instance. Now go to the
folder where you extracted the file. Find
the Drivers folder. Now in that folder click on Support. Now click on i386
folder. In that folder you will find the ctzapxx.exe file. Double click on
the file and the drivers should install correctly.

I had no luck getting these drivers/ this procedure to work with my MSI K8N
Diamond Plus motherboard, which uses an integrated "Audigy" sound card. (AKA
SoundBlaster Live! 24-bit). So my Vista install is mute for the time being.

Check with the Microsoft Update, and the manufacturers website and see if
they have Vista support yet :o)

Well, at least enable it, in 5365, a driver came down for a my modem a few
weeks after it was released that stopped BSOD.

OK, I'm impressed now! Download was a breeze, got the key after several
attempts, install was much quicker than 5308 and MUCH more informative. At
least you know what's going on now.

Most of all... IT WORKS GREAT! I tried all manner of install tricks on 3
different machines to try and get 5308 up and running. The few times I was
able to complete the install, it just would not run.

This is so much better now!

One general comment : so far - other than see thru frames, I see no
advantage.
The ONLY difference that I do see is the path to "do things" is more
cumbersome. Like changing my display settings. Instead of right-click -
display , now I have to right-click - get menu - then select DISPLAY etc
Other than a learning curve to find 'what I USED to know how to do', what
are you folks finding so different ?

About the Audigy 2 ZS, the old nov05 beta drivers (which were for 5231)
DO WORK. Not sure yet about the midi/gamepad port, but at least for
sound, it works fine. And the 5.1 works, no need to install the crappy
kX drivers any more!

well I tried the drivers for beta release 52xx from creative but with no
success. kX drivers also did work here.

For the Creative Audigy's, (I have a Creative Audigy) use the KX drivers
from http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/down.php?language=en. Afterwords, I went
ahead and installed the Creative Beta 1 drivers via Creative's website. I'm
not sure you can get by with just installing the Creative Beta 1 drivers as
I've heard many failure stories about using those drivers. Towards the end
of the install, I got a BSOD, but upon rebooting my computer, everything was
better. (You'll get sound with the KX drivers, but you'll also find out
that only one jack works on your sound card and when you resume from sleep,
your sound will be gone until you restart.) After installing the Creative
Beta 1 drivers, most of my jacks work now, and I still get sound after
resuming from sleep. Be aware, however, that you are not going to get
surround sound even though after installing the Creative Beta 1 driver the
option is there. The surround for some reason doesn't work. If you're
lucky like I am with my Logitech Z-680's, though, I use a different
'effect', so I can still get surround sound.
