I know you can update drive firmware
but how do you do it xp pro...
never done this before..i have updated bois..could do witsome help

I always use the windows flasher utils since im so lazy I hate making
DOS bootup disk and then using the dos flashers.

I keep reading about the horrors of doing so but Ive never had a
problem yet. Not saying they are wrong of course.

Ive done my MBs , burners countless times and just did my NEC 1300a
dual format dvd burner and also the Ricoh DVD burner I used to have.
No problems. Only had one problem ever and that was with a shuttle
bios I updated in DOS ironically years ago.
