how do i configure the firmware to allow the wireless card to work
there has to be a way because it worked fine once. windows is u

It would help if you told a bit more about the computer, OS and wireless
card. I'm guessing this is a desktop computer (mbrd, chipset ?), running
Windows XP SP2 with a Belkin F5D8000 Wireless Pre-N Desktop Network Card?

I'd guess the end of the msg was likely: "... The operating system will
currently accept only 16-bit (R2) pc-cards on this controller."

Maybe reduce font size in Display Properties if you really want to see the
full msg. This happens with a lot of dialog boxes in Windows when fonts
are mismatched to display resolution.

I've had trouble in the past with Cardbus when things were connected or
installed in the wrong order. Did you follow the installation
precisely?... install the PCI card and startup Windows *without* the
wireless card, or its software, first? This should install the Windows
PCMCIA/Cardbus driver; at this point you should check Device Manager to be
sure that it's confiured properly - then you install the software and
finally plug in the wireless card.

Other than that have you checked for driver updates at Belkin?
