Firmware for Compaq Presario touchpad

I'm trying to locate a firmware patch that I was told
would fix the problem of Windows not recognizing my
touchpad after upgrading to XP. I have the current driver
but it is not useful until I can get the computer to
recognize that the touchpad is there. Can anyone help
with this?

Have you tried the Compaq website/technical support?

Try going to www.driverguide.com and search in their

engine for the necessary firmware. I believe they have
the necessary firmwhere in their posted driver section.L
 
About 6 months ago I redid a Compaq laptop computer for a young lady. I was
able to find the necessary Touchpad drivers on the Compaq web site. Suggest
you dig around for them.
