Firewire Problem

After re-installing windows XP, my firewire devices are not found. I have
already installed the updates and unistalled messenger. Any thoughts?
 
Not until a communication channel is established ( internet connection needs
not be on yet) between you and your ISP, the built-in Internet Connection
Firewall enabling/disabling tick box is grayed out ( Start > Connect to... >
Rt. click Internet Connection > Properties > Advanced (tab)).

Are they on view in Device Manager with alert symbols over them?
Have you installed your motherboard drivers?
