I have an external HD from TEKSERVE (80 GB external Firewire Drive)
that I tried to connect to my Laptop with a 1394 2 Port PCMCIA Card
via Firewire. I I have Win 2000 Prof installed on my machine. Before,
I used the external HD with an Apple Computer.

The external HD doesn't come up on the 'My Computer' window as an
additional drive when connected. I don't know why. Everything seems to
be connected properly. There are no conflicts displayed in the Control
Panel and in the Task Bar (Unplug or eject Hardware) everything seems
to be all right. As I said, previously I used the HD with an Apple.

What's wrong? What can I do?

You probably just need to partition and format it.
Win 2K wont be able to use the Apple formatting.
What can I do?

Use the Admin Tools to partition and format the drive.
Forget exactly how to get there with Win 2K. Just try
Administrative Tools in the help if you cant find it.
