I have XP Home Edition SP2 firewall turned on, in addition to
McAfee's. (Which was free through Comcast). Add to that, the Privacy Service
through same program. Am I running un-needed extra's that may be slowing down
internet connections ?
Thanks in advance for any help given in this matter.

One firewall, properly configured to your unique usage of the 'net, is all
you will need and any other firewalls add only additional places required to
check when troubleshooting. A more direct answer is, probably that would
have an impact on performance.

Thank You ! Have A Great Day ! :)

You are very welcome and the emphasis is on "properly configured to your
unique usage of the 'net" as each person's usage is different than anothers.
