when i go to my network connections and my local area connection status and click on prpperties to get to my firewall enable or disable i get this:windows cannont display the properies of this connestion the windows mamangement instrumentation WMI information may be corrupt it tells me to correct this problem go to systems restore and go to arestore point ive done that going back as far back as Jan20 2004 iam afraid to go back too far and how far back to i need to go. i dont want to loose all my downloaded materials. Is there aw ay to correct this without me loosing anything please advise Mary

Restore as far back as you need to. System restore will not delete your
downloaded files.
