Greetings Iggy,

If you mean MSN Messenger 6.x, yes using the MSN Messenger 6.x "Webcam", in most scenarios,
you'll have to keep the firewall down in order for a direct connection to be established.
However, if you're using the "Video Conference" feature in MSN Messenger 6.x, a previous
version of MSN Messenger or using Windows Messenger, you should be able to keep the firewall
up while you use the camera, with the exception if your account is not an Administrator.

Both of these issues should be addressed in the next service pack of Windows XP.
