If I haven't experienced any problem with the blaster
worm should I still download everything and disconnect my

Well, it rather depens on what you mean by "everything"! If you mean
should you install the Windows XP patch, YES.

WHY would you even consider disconnecting [sic] your firewall? (I assume
you mean disabling it, unless it is a hardware firewall.) Do you
actually want problems to arise in the future?
