Firewall settings not taking.

I have an unusual problem, i am attempting to use the GPO to institute a few
port exceptions in the XP firtewall. After deploying it if ound that the
exceptions were not allowing communications through the firewall. When i
apply the GPO i can see the the new entries in the exceptions list (greyed
out) but when i look for them in the regisrty at
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\SharedAccess\Parameters\FirewallPolicy\DomainProfile
They dont appear there. Any ideas??

Did you edit the policy and define "*" for all?
It has to be entered without the quotes -> *, not "*"
