I am facing the problem of enabling my intranet computers to connect to IIS
on my print server. Although IIS has been installed, it is not defined in
the exceptions list. I thought I could do it from the Services tab but I
cannot find a way of restricting access to the intranet only. It seems that
when I enable the Web server service it is going to be globally visible and I
do not want it.

You can configure exceptions in the Windows Firewall and not the service.
Also you should be using a perimeter device so that internet users can not
access ANY services offered in your network. The device could be a real
firewall or even a cheap NAT type internet router. The link below explains
more and you need to go to Control Panel/network connections/network
adapter/properties/advanced/settings to configure the Windows Firewall. You
would want to allow access to port 80 TCP for your subnet only.--- Steve
