Can anyone recommend a software firewall that will work with Windows 2003
server and allow me to open up certain inbound ports e.g. open up port 80
for IIS ?

I've had a scout round and it seems that the most configurable one is
Privatefirewall although this does not function under a server os.

It seems as though a hardware firewall (NAT router) may be the only option
but I thought I'd just ask here first.

TIA

Craig

Windows 2003 comes with a built in ICF firewall like XP Pro. It will not manage
outbound traffic if that is a concern, but you could implement ipsec filtering policy
to do that if need be and neither costs a cent. --- Steve

I'd rather go that route anyway. Not just NAT, but SPI firewall too. You can
pick one up for about $80 (Netgear FR114P) -
