I've been trying to list a program as an "exception" in the firewall i.e.
let the program through. I have a Sony laptop (new, with Vista installed)
and there is a program that Sony uses on their web site called "Sony
Download Taxi" that allows me to download a lot of updates for my computer
software. I keep getting an error message that "it appears that you have
Windows XP firewall installed on your computer" and it points to that as the
reason that the "Download Taxi" program won't work. Before I picked up the
computer from the computer shop where I bought it, they moved data from my
old computer to my new one. Is it possible that the XP firewall got moved
inadvertantly? I've made the "exception" changes in the Vista firewall but
have NO idea where to find an XP firewall and get rid of it. Help...
Thanks
