Firewall Problem

Bill

I went to the Windows site to get instructions to help
with the worm that's going around.
The first thing they asked was that I enable my firewall,
which I had disabled in order to play the billiards game
I enjoy.
But when I click on Network Connections in the Control
Panel, and the next step is to click on the Internet
Connection, nothing happens. (In fact, even though I am
connected to AOL, the icon details say it is
Disconnected.) In any case, I am unable to get anything
to happen at that point. When I right-click on it and
click Properties, nothing happens then either. So I
cannot get to the "Advanced" tab/Internet Connection
FIrewall/"Protect" area.
So what am I doing wrong? Or has this worm gotten me
already? I tried rebooting to do the steps but to no
avail.
Thanks, Bill

From what I understand - AOL and XP firewall don't play
well together. Contact AOL
All the best
