Hi Everyone!

I'm wanting to use the XP built-in firewall, I'm not on a
network. What XP "services" are required for the firewall
to be functional?

Thanks, Sam

Hey, thanks Steve!

Is it just these services for ICS and ICF?

Application Layer Gateway
Network Connections
Network Location Awareness
Remote Access Connection Manager

I was looking for MS KB articles on this but didn't see
any info.

You're welcome, Sam. Those are the services that must be running for
ICS and ICF to work. Those services depend on other services. To
find out the dependencies for a service:

1. Go to Start | Run, type "services.msc" in the box, and click OK.
2. Double click the service.
3. Click Dependencies.

I'm not aware of any KB articles on the subject. There might be some
information at TechNet.
