I have built my main machine to use Windows XP Professional 64bit. I was not
able to use ZoneAlarm Pro since they are not supporting or designed for
Windows XP Professional 64bit.

I am wanting to know what others are using for a firewall on Windows XP
Professional 64bit?

For virus protection I am using AVG Professional 7.1. For other things I am
using Ad-Aware SE Personal, PestPatrol, NoAdware and Spyware Doctor.

Thanks - Valerie

I use the inbuilt Windows Firewall. I also have a modem/router with inbuilt
NAT and SPI firewall.

AVG 7.1 has a firewall that works with WinXP/Win2k3 x64 versions, as
that is what I'm using.

If you've got a NAT router why do you care about having the Windoze software
firewall running at all? Unless you have other computers on your LAN that
you're concerned about.

No concerns about other computers on the LAN. Force of habit more than
anything I suppose. In fact, I might even turn it off ;)
