In Windows Firewall, Exceptions, the allowed programs show:

PORT_32210
PORT_32771

They both open the two ports they claim... 32210 and 32771. I can't
find anything on the internet about these ports. My friends don't
have these entries. I have no viruses (Avast) or spyware (Ad-Aware).
I've shut them off, with no harm so far.

What's up with this???

If you have UPnP turned on in your router, this allows applications to open
ports as needed, without your intervention. Many instant messaging and file
sharng programs use this functionality.

Doug, thanks very much for the informative answer!

I am not behind a router, although I USED to be years ago. So, this
must have been set way back then. How did the router have access to
change the Windows XP Firewall settings?

I wonder what the two ports are for? I am going to do some research
right now and see if I can find out....

Thanks a lot!!! :)

I can't find anything. Maybe I added them by accident when trying to
set up the router for a game or something.

The router would not have changed your firewall settings. But as you said,
it may have been a game or other program that configured the firewall ports
needed for it to work.
