Jeff

I have successfully added the firewall component to my image, but I want the
firewall to be enabled by default. I don't see a setting for this, how do I
do it?

Thanks,
-Jeff-

Please bear with us, we're working on a solution to this right now. Soon
there will be a tool and whitepaper that allows you to configure the SP1
Firewall settings during FBA. We'll post back to the newsgroup when this is
available.

For SP2, as part of the security push, the new and improved "Windows
Firewall" component will have tons of configurable UI available in TD, so
you can not only modify the feature's 3 main modes (on/off/shielded), but
also close or open specific ports as you can in the control panel applet.

Thanks.
Andy

To follow-on to what Andy outlined earlier, I am in the final stages of
releasing a whitepaper, including C sample code, outlining the following:

1.. Enabling the firewall
2.. Disable all firewall port mappings
3.. Enables the "Remote Desktop" port mappings

The paper should be release within the next week or two.

Hi Neil

As soon as the whitpaper is availbale, please post a link!

Thanks
Best Regards,
Mario
