Firemen goes for a spin?

I've just got back from the shops and that is on the frontpage of the Manchester Evening News, whoops!

Sorry, that's not a laugh, that is just stupid, bad enough doing it, but to publish a video ... if I was their station commander I would be having a discipline hearing.

Kids have died doing the same thing.

If its on the front page of the paper then he probably will...wouldn't like to be in there boots...:D

Theres no need for that....I mean you can't close the manchester evening news can you...

Dont believe it

These guys are normally real heroes ..just how someone so brave can condecend into total stupidity defys belief...I don`t think the Fire Service have very much option in there disciplinary hearing to follow :(

round and around and around and around and around and around.......

I always thought firemen were sensible...... just goes to show

I didn't watch it, I'd already read about that pillock

Actually, it works very well with kittens, saves all those sacks, bricks and string :)

Part of me thinks if he saves lives on a regular basis...and he sees that as fun... and is under adult supervision... why not ;)

But yea...pretty stupid

I'm glad somebody said that.

All firemen I've known have been good guys, without exception.

Which is a bit strange, I suppose there are exceptions, but......

That thought did go through my head.

Extreme sports club maybe.

The blame should lie with whichever idiot decided to make the video footage public.

But, ok, sensible time, a very very silly thing to do.

Of course I've never done anything stupid, ever........

My thoughts exactly.

Hey if he wants to have a ride in a tumble drier why not. If the bloke gets fired, less lives might be saved - because of the actions of the person who made the video availiable to the media/internet.

I used to work with the fire brigade a few years ago and they do have an odd sense of humour, this mostly as they do get to see some distressful sites in the course of their work.

It was done as a laugh & anyone from other brigades would see it as high jinx between shouts. People need to remember that these men & women put their lives on the line when ever on duty.

Yes it was wrong, even more to film it, but worse things get out on the net than this. New firemen/women often go through an initiation prank most of which the public would find hard to understand, but it happens and still does, it's part of the humour that goes with the job.
