Could you please point me to where they state this? It would be
helpful, thanks.

I am using Visual filters on a web page . And that seems to be the only
feature lacking in Firefox.

Those filters are MS inventions, not in the standards.

Firefox has a decent "Find in This Page" feature. When searching for a text
within a page, FF remembers the text at the bottom of the browser window
even if you go to a different web page. Not only that, the F3 key does the
find-next like many other applications do. I often search for the same text
within a page, and I find this very useful.

To do this in IE6, I do the following:
1) Bring up the Find window (CTRL F or Edit/Find)
2) Enter my text in the windows and Press the Find Next to find the text
3) When I go to a different page, I have to bring up the Find window again,
and RE-ENTER the text.

Very frustrating. In earlier versions of IE, the F3 key used to do this
job correctly. I don't know why they got rid of this.

This is my personal opinion after trying Firefox for a week.

Sick of MS-IE lack of security?
Netscape not doing it for you anymore?

Yeah, that is So much nicer to use than IE's version of Find.

Well, I did not originally post that but I remember them saying that awhile
back. I should be able to find something on it eventually but the government
told people to use anything but IE pretty much because of all the security
problems inside the software. I mean, an IE security flaw now takes till the
end of the month to get, and if there is one in Mozilla, it's fixed usually
within a day or two! Personally, I have been a Firefox advicate for a year
about and Mozilla for 3 or so, and to tell you the truth, I haven/'t even
used IE for regular browsing for about 4 years now, and I am so glad I have
moved away from IE!
