Is there any way to combine Toolbars onto one line?

There seems to be a lt o wasted space in Firefox.

I have 5 toolbars in IE and have them combined onto 2 lines. In
Firefox I can't see any way to avoid having each toolbar on a seperate
line and that is taking up a lot of screen space.

FWIW, you can at least empty the navigation toolbar by placing the
buttons and address box on the menu bar, I have my FF setup that
way.

It's entirely possible -- I have just one Firefox toolbar and the
google searchbar on mine. (I'm sure I just dragged-and-dropped the
various elements on mine via right-click on the existing toolbar and
click "customize".)

Of course, this meant keeping the FF toolbar elements to a minimum --
I've got a short address bar; the 7 "File/Edit" fields; just 5
buttons; and the bookmarks toolbar folder (with 2 bookmarks and 3
bookmark groups).

FWIW, I use "Nautopolis" as a theme, which I think has one of the
smaller button sizes.

Hi Wald, thanks for the quick response.

How do you do that? If I go to Customise Toolbar (while on the menu
bar) there is no option to add an address bar?

Equally if I try to customise the address bar there is no option to
add any of the menu bar items.

You just drag and drop the existing address field (which FF identifies
as the "location bar") -- you have to click and hold on the left-hand
icon; it won't work if you click elsewhere on it.

I think it's all drag and drop; that's how I did mine, anyway.

Yep, Thanks worked it out. You first have to drag the item from the
existing toolbar onto the "Customise" Panel, then you can drag it onto
another toolbar.

You cant just drag straight from one toolbar to another, but going via
the customise panel you can move any item to anywhere else.

Thanks guys.
