Hey All,

Just got a couple of questions that i would like answering, if you dont mind!

1. Does anyone use the Firefox Password safe? I myself do use it for some places but i wouldn't use it for places like Amazon, even tho i have a master pasword set up on it. Is that good or would you suggest i do/do not use it?

2. Can you just install the latest version over the top of the last one or do you have to uninstall the older one first? If you have to uninstall the older one what about the bookmarks, RSS Feeds and any other stuff you got on it?

I did have a quick look on the Mozilla Website but didn't see anything that would answer me question!

Thanks guys!! :) :thumb:

The answers:

1. If the computer is used only by yourself and is not a public computer you need not worry about the program remembering the passwords. It is a very handy feature. I use it as my computer is exclusively used by me. On public computers this should always be avoided as the information is stored in the cache and can be retrieved if left there. As a general rule if one is working on a public computer it is always a good idea to clear the cache before leaving the system.

2. You can install the new version on top of the old one as everything is automatically updated. Even if you uninstall the folder always resides in the Program Files and can be easily retrieved by the new installation unless that particular folder is removed and all traces are wiped out from the computer. I always install on top of the older version and never had any problems whatsoever. Some programs do require you to uninstall but here you are OK.
