Windows2000
Service Pack 4
_____________

On a recommendation I have
switched from IE to Firefox
which is now my default browser
and is located in C:\Program Files

My question:
Does it have to be there?
I have a number of stand alone programs
in a folder on my second disc - will Firefox work if I simply
move its entire folder to that folder or should I
uninstall Firefox and then reinstall it in
the folder on the second disc?

Any help or advice appreciated.

You can install most applications anywhere you like - this
is why you get an option at install time to specify the target
directory. However, moving an existing installation folder
manually won't work. Why don't you just try it to see for
yourself - it won't damage your PC!

Uninstall/ reinstall. There are many registrations that would be orphaned.
There's really no advantage unless you're running out of drive space.
