Firefox and XPCOM event receiver

Using Firefox V2
When shutting down, I get a box showing XPCOM: event receiver
is not shutting down.

Can anyone help me to resolve this?

Any help or advice appreciated.

Try Googling for 'Firefox XPCOM Shutdown' and you will find many links,
some with related information.
 
Tried that.
The information is so varied and complicated
I decided to switch to Opera.

Did you try removing all Add-ons and seeing if you had a problem, then
slowly adding them back in, one-by-one? Odds are, it's one of them that
was causing the problem.
