IE or not IE

Hi,

Having never used Firefox - Can someone please explain the advantages of using this over IE?

TIA
Kev

IE 7 does some of these things...but you kind of clinched it on the "It works" statement...

My biggest concern would be compatibility... but it looks like it's worth a bash :thumb:

Cheers guys
Kev

Firefox is more "compatable" than IE6/IE7/IE7+ ... even Opera does a better job than IE.

;)

Firefox is the fastest browser as well having checked and compared it to others. ;)

Speed is good... ;)

(On that note have any of you tried to fall back onto 56k after Broadband being unavailable? That is NASTY!):(

The one problem you might have is accessing some online banking services, but you can always just open IE when you need to.

I only use I.E for the Windows Update and some online virus scanners.....

Firefox doesn't enjoy playing wmv files on the net for me, and I have to use IE for paypal.

2 very insignificant problems.

I would never switch back to IE.

But it wont be long ... :D

Finally found a wheather 'add-on' that works as Linux does ... http://forecastfox.mozdev.org/

Just type in your City / Town and have fun ... my nearest station is Blackpool, same as Linux.

Hot man ... :thumb:
