is there any ext. or hack (for FireFox 0.9) that will make all the
bookmarks show at once , instead of having to scroll through them ...
??

If I understand your question, you can choose VIEW / SIDEBAR / Bookmarks,
and all of them will appear at the far left, just like in MSIE. But, seeing
them all
at once? I have dozens of entries in my Bookmarks.html and there's no way
to
see them all at once ... waaaaay too long.

If you have more than one screenfull then how could you NOT have
to scroll ?

The only way to avoid scrolling would be if Bookmarks - Manage
Bookmarks opened a list of bookmarks that was shorter than the
depth of your screen.

Never used FF but in IE you can navigate to Docs & Settings and find the
folder and see them all at once in an explorer window...... if they all fit
on one screen ;-)

Just a bit of an fyi, Firefox (Mozilla) works like Netscape (also
Mozilla) and not like IE. It uses a bookmarks.html file, too, instead
of individual shortcut files so we can't open in an Explorer window.
Great idea, though.

Cheers!

==== I meant the milti-column view , like you get when you uncheck
"use Single Column Favorites View" , in MYie2 Options =======

Export your FF favorites to any location you like. Open FF to the
About:blank page. Choose File, Open, bookmarks.html. Go to your
homepage settings and choose use Current Page. Now each time you open FF
your favorites will be the first thing you see or you can click on the
Home icon to return anytime.

Also helpful because you can use the page search function (Ctrl+F) to
search the entire page for any particular keyword contained within a link.

I'll try that. Netscape 4.79 can show the bookmark file in a list, easy
to navigate, very handy. So far, I couldn't get that in Firebird or
Firefox.

Yes, that gives the handy display I'm used to in Netscape 4.79.

My bad. Thanks for the info. I have downloaded FF and intend to give it a
test drive soon.

Really? I have been using FireBird and now FireFox and have a the
same type of bookmark listing as Netscape. On menu bar, there should
be a listing for Bookmarks. If it is not there, right click on a clear
spot, then select configure. Drag and drop whatever you want to add.
